Unfortunately, the first year of my child’s study abroad in the UK coincided with the arrival of the COVID pandemic. In the midst of a series of unexpected events, including city lockdown, school closures, and restrictions on parents’ travel to the UK, the CGA was flexible and generous in its support of our lives and my son’s studies. The quality of CGA’s services was outstanding under the emergency situation. It is thanks to CGA that my child is able to continue his education in the UK, and I know what his best options are. Despite the ongoing difficult circumstances and because of the support of CGA I feel my son is safe and secure.
Message: My daughter had a great experience spending time in the UK for 2 years.
She had two lovely host families spending lovely half term break and Christmas holidays with Soraya and Diane.
Each host family gave my daughter a comfortable time and heartwarming time.
Thank you so much Julia, Antonia and everyone.

My daughter Wanting Li went to Culford School in England last September to study in the 4th Form for junior high school. Most of the time she lives and studies in the school. When School had half term for rest and she went to the host family for the week.
The child goes abroad for the first time without her parents, and all the things are unknown exotic customs are placed on the guardian of the guardianship company. The guardian reassured our parents as far away as China about all the travel arrangements. Apart from the usual arrangements for transportation, they also told my daughter about some future academic plans so she could understand the future priorities and direction of studying in UK. These are the comforts of us. When the child first arrived in Britain, apart from studying, there was time before school opened and we needed help with arranging somewhere for Wanting to stay. I remember my daughter’s birthday in March last year. I wanted to give her a surprise birthday. The guardian Antonia also specially prepared birthday gifts to send to the school according to my instructions, representing the parents’ wishes.
Looking forward to coming home for the Easter holidays, the road home was blocked by the COVID-19. It was difficult for us as parents to choose whether to stay or not because of the news and contradictory mood in Britain. The Guardianship Company Flora Li has been keep to discuss with us the epidemic situation analysis in Britain and the risks of returning to China. Considering the host and environment of the host family that the Guardianship Company found for my daughter, she was allowed to stay in the home stay for over 5 months in the end.
During the epidemic, Wanting was able to live in a relatively large house with the home stay and the environment was very good. The owner also attached great importance to the protective measures during the epidemic, and provided very good lodging and food. She was also have fun with the dog in their yard. I thank them a lot.
I have communicated with my child many times. I said, if the epidemic eases and there is a flight back to China, please come back, and she said that it is safe to live here and she does not want to come back for the time being. Hearing this, I was thinking: firstly she has enough independence; secondly the host family gives her enough security. During my girl stay in England, I have to thank all the people in the Guardianship Company that taking care of her, especially the host parents, who took care of Tiffany as their own child.
In the future, I hope that she will always have your company in her academic career, accompany her to grow up in the society, and accompany her to achieve her dreams of studying.
Thank you for your efforts ! Best wishes.

CGA has established guidelines and standards to provide high levels of quality control and assurances for overseas parents sending their children to boarding schools in the UK. This means that we can be sure our children receive the necessary and relevant support from both their school and guardians while they are studying in England.

AGEIS certification and proximity to school were two of the main criterion which helped to filter out CGA. It turned out to be the right choice for our son. Julia, Antonia and Flora on CGA team are all very responsive and attentive to the request. They carefully chose the host families to make sure Joey had comfortable stays. All logistics were arranged carefully and communicated upfront. As such, Joey has been travelling safely for Exeats and holidays. It’s worth of mentioning, Flora from CGA is a native Chinese speaker, it was handy for us to get in touch with CGA when Wechat was the only accessible online messenger tool.

My daughter had a very good year of guardianship in Cambridge Guardian Angels. Flora and the staff are very responsible, my daughter is often greeted by them, and every time if there is a problem they respond quickly,so every problem can be solved in time. My daughter said that host families are very nice and that she had pleasant half-terms. The last parents’ meeting, there was also Antonia present. The guardian had in-depth communication with Shirley’s teachers and found out her weak points so as to improve them. Thank you very much for taking care of Shirley in the past year. If there is a chance, I am very happy to have your guardianship again in the future.

I highly appreciate what CGA is doing for us. My daughter is currently in Year 11 and for more than 4 years Julia and her team have been really supportive and helpful. Whenever I have any questions or concerns, I can contact Julia and she is always ready to help. CGA’s approach is professional and responsible, yet you don’t just get that business-like attitude, but you are dealing with friendly and nice people who understand your worries and are willing to make it easier for you.
I want to express my special gratitude to Antonia: her place has become my daughter’s “quiet harbour” where she can take a break from hustle and bustle of school life. Not only this means much for my daughter’s emotional health, but Antonia has also introduced her to some aspects of British everyday life which undoubtedly has broadened her horizons and let her become more aware of the diversity of traditions and habits in different countries.
All in all, I think we are very lucky to work with CGA. I would definitely recommend them as true professionals and lovely individuals.

I’m so lucky to choose your company as the guardian of my daughter. Your company and the host family provided well guardianship and help to Angela. When she first arrived in England, there were many matters that she couldn’t understand and handle, but she always got the help from you at once. You also provided her with good meals and a comfortable bedroom, which brought her into the new learning & living environment quickly. During the epidemic period, the host family protected Angela well and helped her overcome the inconvenience of going out & shopping, to ensure her quality of life. The Guardianship company also tracked the situation of Angela in time and kept in touch with me, so we can calmly face all kinds of puzzles and inconveniences brought by the epidemic. Thank you very much for your service and help. I’m very satisfied with your company. I’m glad to continue choosing your company as the guardian of my daughter and recommend your company to my friends who need your services.’

“Our family is originally from HK and moved to Canada for 2 years. My son has been studying in Cambridge The Leys School for 4 years. He started his school in year 10 and now he is finishing his A-Levels. We have no friends or relatives in the UK that can be our son’s guardian, so under the recommendation from The Leys School, we selected CGA as our son’s guardian. Julia is a very lovely and responsible lady that takes care of my son really well.
She went to all my son’s parents evenings and school events that need parents and even gave frequent visits to my son and report my son’s school performance, and if he settled well in school. Even small details like buying a new pair of school shoes, or a new pair of eyeglasses and renting a tux for a school party, providing pocket money…etc. She took care of my son as a real parent.
The host family that she arranged for my son is a really nice family, my son is so happy to stay with the host family at weekends. The CGA also arrange the taxi pick up from school and airport. They even helped me to arrange taxi pickups while I was in Cambridge to visit my son. So during my son’s 4 years of boarding school life, I have not needed to worry. Julia did everything for me. I’m here to send my deepest thanks to Julia, Antonia and GCA.”

I would like to show my sincere thanks to Julia Evans and CGA for their work for my daughter who desired to study A-Levels at a day school in Cambridge after finishing her GCSE in a boarding school in the UK two years ago.
One could imagine how helpless we were when the existing guardian at that time could do little to help us find a suitable host family for my daughter. Until we found CGA and Julia from the internet, we started feeling relieved and the support and assistance from Julia to my daughter began

“We would like to thank CGA for all their help as a guardian to our daughter. They took into account all our requirements and helped us with our choice of the host family and also organised a visit to the College and a meeting with potential host families.”

“We appreciate all your help and care. Joe likes staying with Amanda and the family- the dogs, kids and a house with such history are a lovely place to stay when Joe is not in school and he looks forward to his stays. It was especially kind of the family to look after Joe when he was on his tennis tournament during the Summer holidays, it made him feel he had another family as all his friends had left already for the Summer break.”
