Dear Parents,
You might have received the recent CGA parents letters and been aware of the updates from the Department for Education regarding the quarantine requirements for international students under 18 years of age travelling to England on a Child Student Visa or Student Visa to attend boarding school in England:
No quarantine is required on arrival in England if the student has travelled from an Amber list country and has not been in or travelled through a Red list country in the previous 10 days.
A pre-departure Covid-19 test and a Day 2 post-arrival PCR test are still required for students aged 11 to 17.
Students aged 10 and under are exempt from pre-departure Covid-19 test but are required to take Day 2 PCR test.
See the table below:
Green list rules remain unchanged and apply to anyone who has been in or travelled through a green list country in the previous 10 days.
If your child meets the criteria above, please book a Day 2 PCR test once the returning flight has been confirmed. The booking should be completed at least one week before the departure date.
Please use the test provider recommended by the school. If the school has no preference, we recommend the provider Oncologica: https://covid19.oncologica.com/
The web page might be updated with different descriptions, please make sure you book the arriving Day 2 PCR test.
While booking, you will be asked to input student’s personal information. The key fields such as name, date of birth, passport number, school address, flight date and flight number are critical. They should be 100% accurate, as the information will be shared with NHS for tracking purpose. The school might have emailed you about the delivery address for the test kit. Please make sure the specified address is entered in online booking form.
Please use the student’s or your own email address as the contact email to place the test order. You will receive the order confirmation from Oncologica with the unique reference number, which should be entered on Passenger Locator Form. The test report will be uploaded to student’s online account.
Once the returning flight is confirmed, please forward the flight details so we could arrange transport for your child.
Please DO contact us if your child has been in or travelled through a Red list country in the 10 days before arriving in England. We’ll confirm the quarantine arrangement with the school and advise which test you should book for your child.
